Boys will be boys

I hate this phrase, but it seems to fit this post.

On Wednesdays Steve plays two softball games back to back. Jordan and I go and watch and lately I've been having him WATCH the games with me, rather than head straight for the playground (CLEAR across the park, so I have to follow) and then try to drag him back. This week on our way back from the trees to get a stick for a our new found friend the dog, a little boy runs up to Jordan and says, "Hey! You're that little cool kid from Oak!" Jordan shrugged his shoulders, stuffed his hands in his pockets and said, "Yeah, I'm cool" and off they went to play. Steve was told by Jordan's teacher and assistant principle that he was easily the most popular little boy in the Kindergarten class (over 50 kids). He's also the smallest.

Jordan spent a good portion of his time playing in the dirt behind the dugout. By the end of the night he was dirtier than Steve, who had been running bases and sliding all over the place!

He also enjoys standing behing the dugout and poking whoever is sitting there in the back. Most of the guys seem to be okay with it and respond with, "Hey buddy! What's up?" I don't mind so much when it's Steve or Ryan and most of the guys are pretty good about understanding that a 6-year-old gets bored after half of the first game and after that it's fun to poke them through the fence!
