Das Not Funny! Friday : Jordan-isms

Click here to learn what Das Not Funny! Friday is all about.

Here are some things Jordan has said recently that have solicited chuckles from us:

**********

While at a rest stop:

Jordan looked over at a guy on his motorcycle and said, "Looks like somebody needs a lift on their ride!"

**********

Playing football with friends, it was suggested that they play on their knees because two of the kids were way bigger than the other kids and were dominating the game.

After about two minutes on their knees Jordan exclaims, "This is so humiliating!"

**********

We were at somebody's house and Jordan commented, "That's a classy couch." A minute later he observed, "Classy piano."

I looked his direction and he said to me, "What? I can't say classy twice??"

**********

"Is Ryan having a baby?"

No, but his wife is.

"Hm. How are babies made?"

**********

Laughing in the direction of his dad's back - "Hee hee. How do you spell 'kick'?"

**********

My mom commissioned Jordan to draw her a dragon picture. He told her, "It'll cost you a dollar."

At her surprise he said, "What? I don't do pictures for free! I'm the best artist you'll ever find!"

**********

On my birthday Jordan spent close to an hour in my mom's craft room making me a birthday card. He brought it upstairs and told me, "You will just cry tears when you see this. You'll love it!"

**********

A friend from school was having Jordan do something with his hands, one step at at time. Jordan told me, "And in the end it made my hand into a gun and we're not allowed to have guns at school and I was not expecting that!"

**********

My sister made some inside joke that half the room didn't understand. Jordan chuckled and my mom leaned over to him and said, "I don't even know what that means."

Jordan laughed, waved his hands and said, "Me either, just play along!"

Staying positive

In my last post I said that Dorothy was fading fast... She bounced back and is now just plugging along at much the same rate as before. She has a couple of continuous issues - a pressure sore on her nose where her mask rests that causes her a LOT of pain, acid reflux that is hard to control, and communication. These things will probably never stop being issues, though the communication is the most difficult for everyone else. I made her a picture board depicting about 80% of her needs and most of the time she chooses not to use it but would rather write things out instead. This means getting out her dry erase pen, positioning it just right in her hand, wrapping a rubberband around her fist to hold the pen in place and then holding her whiteboard just so while she writes and we try to decipher the ink smudges.

I am going through the process of starting counseling sessions. I am eligible for several free sessions through my job and was approved for those yesterday. Tomorrow I will call and schedule my first appointment. I think at this point I'm just at a place where I need to talk it out. I need to talk about the way I want to be a better mom but feel very stuck because I have to be home most evenings and Jordan does not live with me. I need to talk about the extreme rate at which things can frustrate me. I need to talk about how to gain back the last 15 months of my life that I have missed out on. I need to talk because my friends are tired of listening.

This week I made a list of things to do that will keep me happy and positive. So far I have only done one thing on the list (it had to do with ice cream) but it's there in case I need it. It contains wonderful things like snuggling and going for a walk and taking a hot bath and enjoying a hot beverage and a book. And let me also tell you, multivitamins are a creation of God.

I had a big long talk with my sister's boyfriend last night about the work he is (still) doing on the house. I kind of jumped his butt about it. A lot. He told me the work will be done by the end of next week. Once all of that is finished all that's left is painting (and I have not done ANY more since those first two rooms and one of those is only half done - I knew you were going to ask!) and cleaning the carpets. I am very anxious to be moved in. I'm anxious for Steve and Jordan and I to start our new routines and begin our new normal. I'm anxious for it to be a getaway for me. A place to go on my nights off when I need to be away from home but just want to relax.

You know, I really miss blogging about things other than Dorothy and the house.

Here are a few pictures from our recent (really fun) trip to Hoodoo to go tubing:

And that, folks, is why I keep trucking along. :)

This weekend Heather is not coming down because she has huge projects due at work next week. Both agency caregivers are unavailable this weekend so a brand new girl trained today and hopefully is ready to work on her own! Our favorite caregiver agreed to spend the night this Friday so I can have one overnight break. The boys and I are going to the coast for the night. We're looking forward to a trip to the aquarium and some swimming and relaxing.

A funny story before I go eat my soup that's cooking on the stove...

The other night Jordan and I were making pipe cleaner and hot glue craft projects at the kitchen table. I mentioned that I was going to make a crocodile and he scoffed that I surely could NOT make a crocodile out of pipe cleaners and hot glue. We made a $1 bet.

About 10 minutes went by and we were both working away on our projects. All of a sudden Jordan pops his head up, looks at me and says, "So! How's it comin' with that crocodile you can't make??"

He owes me a dollar.

Link up

I simply have not had the time I've wanted to blog this week. (This week at work has been the craziest we've had in a long time. I have a kink in my neck from being on the phone so much because my boss STILL has not gotten us headsets and I'm about to pitch a fit over it.)

I do have a couple of fun posts up my sleeve though so stay tuned!

Instead of my own ramblings I'll leave you with a few links that I have really enjoyed over the past few days.

Sunday Drive. I love MckMama's blog. And I found this story completely fascinating. Who knew??

A bit of history about Valentine's Day. I've always enjoyed Valentine's day as just a fun day to show some extra love. Now I know a bit more about it!

Nella Cordelia's birth story. This is not somebody that I know but it's a blog that I am anxious to delve into and a story that really, really touched my heart.

How to increase your blog traffic and readership. Of course I would love more traffic! I only know of three or four people who read my blog regularly. And that's totally fine because the whole reason I started this blog was so I could journal MY stories and thoughts and pictures in a more quick, simple way. But I do crave more of that community feeling. This post gave me some ideas!

DON'T TAKE THE PEN. Dooce is always good for a laugh. This story had me chuckling out loud.

Enjoy!

Das Not Funny! Friday

******

This week Steve was talking to Jordan about eating lunch at school. Namely, how Jordan needs to EAT lunch at school. Their conversation went something like this:

Steve: "Bub, you gotta eat some of the lunch I pack for you."

Jordan: "But, I don't LIKE peanut butter sandwiches!"

Steve: "You used to like them, what happened?"

Jordan: "It's JUST peanut butter, no jelly!"

Steve: "I put jelly on your sandwiches..."

Jordan: "Yeah! And somebody TAKES IT OUT!!!"

******

A coworker and I were talking about our office chairs and how she is supposed to be getting a new one but it takes FOREVER. I agreed that it was very frustrating. She spouted off, "It would be faster to just get gastric bypass surgery!"

******

This morning I was at the dentist getting a crown put on my tooth. We had a brief conversation about how getting a temporary crown over Thanksgiving is kind of the pits. The dentist told me that the cement he was using for the crown has a bit of a clove taste to it. The hygienist replied, "So it will go really well with your pumpkin pie!"

Das Not Funny! Friday

It's been awhile!!!

(Click here to read about Das Not Funny! Friday.)

Here are a few of the things that have had ME laughing lately!

******

At a game night recently, a friend was talking about how cool something was and my brother goes, "Yep. It's one of those things they're calling "epic" these days!"

******

Jordan was talking to me about Charlie (my dog) and making up all kinds of stories about him having money and a wallet. He asked me where Charlie would put his wallet and I said, "In his pocket, of course!" Jordan asked where his pockets were and I told him they were there, you just can't see them because of all his fur.

Jordan paused for a second and then looked at me, made two thumbs-up signs and wiggled his thumbs at me, saying, "But how's he gonna get his money out? He doesn't have opposable thumbs!"

******

My cousin is a teacher at a daycare center and always has hilarious stories to tell about the kids she works with. Recently she told a story about a little boy who noticed her cross necklace and asked her, "Do you love Jejus??" She told him yes, she did love Jesus. "I love Jejus, too!" he replied. "AND DRAGONS!"

Play-by-play

Here is a recount of how my Monday morning started out. (Disclaimer: there are a few words in this post that I don't normally use. Like the word shit.)

4:36am – Charlie (the dog) is in Dorothy’s room not-so-discreetly trying to alert somebody that he needs attention (i.e. to go outside). He does this by giving a short, low growl or by yawning with a little sing-song sound at the end. I can hear him through the baby monitor so it’s really hard to ignore him. (Why he didn't come into my room to get me up, I don't know. Dorothy certainly wasn't going to get out of bed to let the knucklehead outside.)
4:37am – I am laying in bed willing Charlie to shut up but knowing that he won’t.
4:38am – I get out of bed and he immediately runs over, prancing and jumping around in front of me so that I can’t even walk forward.
4:38am – I open the back door, flip on the porch light and Charlie SHOOTS out the door. I look over to the fenceline just in time to see a flash of something in the bushes.
4:38am – Charlie BOLTS over to the fence, snarling and barking at whatever animal is over there.
4:38am – The animal snarls and snaps back at him! And thus begins a very loud snarling/snapping/barking session.
4:39am – I YELL at the stupid dog, probably waking up half the neighbors, and clap my hands loudly at him, telling him to shut the eff up.
4:40am – Charlie wanders into the yard, does his business and then looks back over at the fence.
4:40am – I tell him to COME HERE RIGHT NOW.
4:40am – He looks at the fence, looks at me, back at the fence, back at me.
4:41am – Charlie decides the he would rather not listen to me and heads back for the fence.
4:41am – I am FED up with him (and with being awake at this hour) and march out into the wet, freezing cold grass, in my bare feet, to get him.
4:42am – I STEP IN A PILE OF DOG CRAP.
4:42am – I spew a whole bunch of things I can’t repeat, mostly at the dog.
4:43am – I am now beyond pissed at the dog, grab him by the collar, march him up onto the deck and put him in the house, cursing a LOT in the process.
4:43am – I go over to the corner of the house and hose down my feet with FREEZING COLD water.
4:44am – I go back in the house, mutter some more angry things at the dog (if Dorothy was awake I’m sure she was wondering what the HECK was going on) and go in the bathroom.
4:45am – I wash my feet in the tub.
4:47am – I head back to my room, pointing down the hall to Dorothy’s room and telling Charlie to go back to bed.
4:47am – He doesn’t listen to me and I get back in bed.
4:48am – Charlie is still standing in the hallway, making noise and being an utter pain in my you-know-where.
4:48am – I get back out of bed, lead him to HIS bed and make him get in and lay down.
4:49am – I pat his head for good measure (even though he’s totally on my shit list) and go back in my room.
4:50am – I lay in bed, unable to fall back asleep.
5:15am – I finally fall sleep.
5:25am – My alarm goes off.

And this is why I am a cat person.

Charlie is lucky the snarling animal wasn't a skunk. I would have gone back to bed and left him outside until the sun came up!

Das Not Funny! Friday

(For the "official rules" of Das Not Funny! Friday, click over in my right sidebar under "Memes I participate in" to hop on over to the creator's blog!)

Unfortunately, I haven’t spent NEAR enough time with Jordan lately so I miss out on a lot of the funny things he says!

Instead, I kept track of the hilarious things that were said at a recent Game Night at my parents’ place. We were playing Take Off.

Take Off has a very long “board” (basically a huge laminated sheet) with a topical world map on it. It starts in Honolulu at one end and ends in Honolulu at the other end. Across the board are continents with tiny dots all over them. These dots are cities. Connecting the dots are many, many lines, in all 6 colors of the rainbow. Some cities have lots of colors leading out and some cities only have one or two. There is a set of dice to roll which tells you which colored lines you may travel each turn. Each player has planes (in our case, two each) that they “fly” across the board. The game has a few other rules but they really aren’t relative at the moment. =)

********************

My family has this weird thing where you say, “Nose goes!” and place your finger on your nose. This means that you are exempt from whatever task is being decided on, just like saying "Not it!" would. In this case it was who would scoop ice cream.

Colby: Nose goes!
Alaina: I go!

********************

My dad was distributing drinks. He asked James (who is black) if he would like a beer. James said, with a totally straight face, that he does not like dark things. You know, like chocolate…

He asked if my dad had any light beer so my dad brought him an ale. Dad then asked Caryn what she would like to drink and she said 7Up.

My dad brought her a glass of 7Up and Caryn took one look at it, looked at my dad and said, “This is too dark!”

********************

Colby: There should be plane upgrades so you can add missiles and things!

********************

During the game the dog was being an ongoing nuisance. She has LOTS of nicknames so I told her, “Go on, you dumbhead” and pointed to the living room.

Dani stopped in the middle of her turn, looked at me and said, “Did you just call your brother a dumbhead?!”

********************

Jon’s plane got bumped and he wasn’t sure which dot he had been on. His wife had been keeping track of his turns and knew where the plane belonged.

Jon: How do you know that’s where I was??

Courtney: Next time I’ll just set ya on a dot! I’ll TOW your plane to shore!

********************

Caryn rolled the same thing on her dice two turns in a row and asked, “If I roll that three times do I go to jail?”

********************

Upon one of the players getting bumped back to the Start:

Jon: *salutes* “Please fly with us again!”

********************

During the game some water got spilled on the board.

Somebody said: “Uh oh! That means there’s a Tsunami warning!”

********************

Now it's your turn! This is my first try using MckLinky so let's see how it works!

Das Not Funny! Friday

I failed to write down as many "funnies" this week but I do have a couple for you!

(Hop over here to read the "official" rules of this blog meme!)

********************

Yesterday Steve and Jordan came over and had ice cream cones in their hands. Charlie was SO excited to see them (as he always is) and was pestering Jordan while he ate his ice cream. Jordan was sitting at the dining room table and Charlie's head is the exact height of the table (handy for maximum pestering). Jordan kept telling Charlie to leave him alone, he wasn't sharing.

All of a sudden I hear, "Hey! Don't give me those sad puppy eyes!"

********************

Jordan was invited to a sleepover tonight. Several kids in his class were invited but it's a family we do not know and the sleepover is in a different town. Jordan REALLY wants to go but he's like I was when I was little - the IDEA of a sleepover is awesome but when it comes time for bed there are tears and phone calls for parents to come pick up a homesick kid. That coupled with us not knowing the family made us decide that he would not be sleeping over tonight.

Steve got a phone call from Jordan's school about an hour ago but he is driving the bus and can't answer. He asked me if I could please call them back and check up on everything.

I called and the secretary answered and said, "Oh yes. Well, Jordan says he's going home with a friend today but we didn't find a note or anything in his backpack..."

The little weasel. :) If Daddy and Kaila won't let him go then maybe he'll just tell the SCHOOL and they'll send him home with them!

I told Steve, Hmm... maybe you need to drive him out there to at least play for a couple of hours. Otherwise the cries of, "You never let me do anything!" and "You ruined my life!" might start a little early. ;)

Got fruit?

I had an interesting little "episode" happen to me today. It's amusing now but at the time it really pissed me off.

I texted GOOGL to get the phone number for a local produce stand so that I could call and see what time they closed tonight. Texting GOOGL is a great, fast way to get information. Simply type in the name of the business and the city and state and Google will text you back with the address and phone number. This worked great for Steve and I when we were in Salem and really wanted Applebee's but didn't know where the nearest one was. A quick text from my phone and voila! 3 choices! (Standard text messaging rates apply.)

Anyway!

I texted the name for this fruit stand and my city and state. Seconds later I got a message back with the address (correct) and a phone number. I thought it was a little strange that the area code was 503 when my local area code is 541 but I figured maybe it was a cell phone since this is a seasonal fruit stand. Who knows.

I called the number and heard "Please enjoy the music while your party is reached" and some rock song on the other end of the phone and then "Hello?"

I was expecting to hear the name of the fruit stand when the person answered but instead they sounded like they were cutting out.

Me: "Hello?"

Her: "Yeah, HELLO."

Me: "Um... Is this the fruit stand?"

Her: "NO, this is not the FRUIT STAND, you're calling my CELL PHONE and using my minutes!"

Me: *click*

Had she not been so rude to me I may have apologized. Had I been feeling REALLY nice I might have explained that I got her number from Google (I actually haven't decided if that would be nice or really mean). I just found it irritating (and now hilarious) that this woman FLIPPED OUT over me using less than 30 seconds of her talk time.

Maybe I'll tell the folks at the fruit stand that story when I stop by tomorrow. :)

Das Not Funny! Friday

I know you've been waiting for it! Head over here to read the official "rules" of this blog meme!

Here are the funny things I witnessed this week:

********************

Steve, Jordan and I were at Dairy Queen. Steve was finishing placing our order while Jordan and I went to the soda machine to get cups of water. I had Jordan on one hip (don't ask me why) and was filling a cup with my other hand. Steve walked over and asked if I needed some assistance. Being the multi-tasker that I am, I said, "Nope, we've got it covered, don't we Jordan?" just as water sloshed over my hand. Jordan gave me a very skeptical look and said, "Um... no, not really."

********************

Dorothy had some friends visiting this week and they were discussing the limited eating habits of one of them. He doesn't like this, he doesn't like that... Finally he piped up and said, "I just like ghetto food!"

********************

Dorothy's other friend was telling a story about potty training her grandson. They took a trip to the park and he wore his big boy pants. On the walk home he said he had to go but at that point it was kind of tough luck.

A gentleman walking down the street asked the little boy, "How are you today?" and the boy replied, "I have poop in my pants."

The gentleman's response: "What a wonderfully straightforward answer!"

********************

Jordan was talking about when he is 100 and how he is going to take his grandson to Dairy Queen and to get toys. He was talking about his grandson this, his grandson that. And then he says, "But I'm not sure if it will be a boy or a girl."

********************

Doing homework with Jordan this week I was having a conversation with Steve on the side. While my attention was diverted Jordan moved on to his next math problem, using the pennies and dimes, and solved it. And then another. Proud of him, I said, "You don't need me!" and he looked up at me with a grin and said, "Nope!"

********************

A few days ago Jordan wanted to make his own stamp for letterboxing. He chose the image of a skeleton (SO Jordan). I went online and found "how to draw a skeleton" and then freehanded it. I made a mark I didn't like and erased it to re-draw it. Jordan, being the dramatic child that he is, exclaimed, "He was too young to be erased!"

Das Not Funny! Friday

It’s finally Friday! How many times this week did you hear or see something and think… “Das Not Funny!” but then realize that it actually was pretty funny? Well, such is the purpose of this blogapolooza known as Das Not Funny! Friday.

********************
I was in the grocery store and pulled out my card to pay. The checker looked at it and said, "Oh, what a cute credit card!"

My card has a picture of my bank on it.

********************
We see and use a LOT of medical terms where I work. EKG's are all over the place. One day my coworker was sending a fax and instead of writing EKG he wrote KEG.

********************

I dropped Dorothy off at her acupuncture appointment and someone had parked in the space that we always use. I made a mock gasp and said, "Somebody took our spot!" to which she replied, "Of all the nerve!!"

(If you know Dorothy and know how difficult her speech is to understand, this might be funnier to you.)

********************
On the same day Dorothy and I drove past a guy who is not all there (to say the least) sitting on the ground, picking at it (the ground, that is). Dorothy made a funny face and I told her about another guy in this town who goes around picking staples and nails out of telephone poles and posts. I ended my story by saying, "... A little crazy."

She replied, "Somebody's gotta do it!"

********************

I was helping Dorothy get ready for bed and I could hear Jordan out in the front part of the house spouting off all kinds of French words. He was going on and on with "Voila!" and "Bonjour!" for several minutes.

I came out from helping her and chuckled at him and asked, "Whatcha doin?" He replied, "I'm half American, half French!" I told him, oh really, and where did the French come from?

He looked at me, then went back to what he was doing, shrugged his shoulders and replied, "Don't know!"

********************

Tomorrow is my sister's graduation party and the theme is "Hats Off to Kendra!" and everyone is supposed to come wearing a hat. I told Jordan this and he asked, "But what if I don't wear a hat?" I told him they wouldn't let him in. He thought for a minute and said, "I'll take Colby's hat." After thinking about THAT for a minute his eyes lit up and he exclaimed, "And then HE wouldn't be able to get in!"

********************

Dorothy's daytime caregiver has a little boy who just turned 3 and sometimes comes with her during the day. One day when I got home from work they were still here and so were Natalie's mother and her other 3 sons. All of a sudden Caleb starts flipping out, exclaiming "Where's my bee????" Natalie pulled a little toy turtle out of her bag and said, "Do you mean this?" He did. He started showing it around and his older brother told him, "Caleb, that's not a bee, it's a turtle" about the time he stuck it in his other brother's face and said, "RIBBIT! RIBBIT!"

A very versatile bee. Er, turtle. I mean, frog.

I'm so confused.

********************

And last, but certainly not least... The other night I emptied the ice cream container. When I empty containers of ice cream/yogurt/cream cheese I let the dog lick them out if he happens to be standing nearby (which is, um, always). This is what he did:

Das Not Funny! Friday

It’s finally Friday! How many times this week did you hear or see something and think… “Das Not Funny!” but then realize that it actually was pretty funny? Well, such is the purpose of this blogapolooza known as Das Not Funny! Friday.
Check out this blog to see what else is not funny. Plus, by going over here you can see who else has seen or heard something and thought Das Not Funny! then stifled a giggle or even laughed out loud! Come on, you know you wanna…

Things that cracked me up this week:

Steve and Jordan went to the zoo for the end of Jordan's spring break. They stood in line for 45 minutes to get an elephant ear. While Jordan was eating his long-awaited treat an elephant trumpeted very loudly not far away. Jordan said, "Wow, that was loud!" and Steve replied, "Well yeah, he's probably ticked because you're eating his ear!"

This resulted in peals of laughter that lasted a long time.

**********

One of my coworkers was half-listening to a doctor dictating a report in the next room. As the doctor got to the medication profile portion of the report, the phone rang. Stephanie answered, "Medication Records, this is Stephanie."

**********

Jordan was sick on the couch and he and Steve were watching TV. Steve was talking to the TV when Jordan looked over and said, "Would you be quiet?? I'm trying to sleep and I'm serious!"

Somebody had reached the grumpy hour!

**********

I was helping a doctor with e-signature. This doctor is VERY computer illiterate but I did not realize just QUITE how illiterate until this day.

Part of the editing process uses Microsoft Word. She had never used Microsoft Word. This became very apparent when she asked me how to add words to the report she was looking at. I said, "Just click your cursor where you want to add the words and type them in."

She looked at me, wide-eyed and said, "You mean they'll just show up right there as I type them??"

Um, yes.

The one that I forgot to post

What does this mark, like five posts today? Something crazy like that!

I forgot to post this video along with the pictures earlier. Here's a glimpse of Eddie's antics:

Jordan-isms Part 1

A friend of mine has been posting "isms" about her son and they are such a hoot to read. Jordan does and says so many funny things that I thought I'd start jotting them down here for me to remember and the rest of you to enjoy. :)

**********

A few weeks ago we were at Steve's sister's house and she asked Jordan if he was on a school break (in reference to the Thanksgiving holiday). He gave her a funny look and said, "No, I'm still in first grade."

**********

We were decorating for Christmas and Jordan's grandma walked in the room. Jordan jumped behind the couch and said, "I'm not here! Leave a message! Beep!"

**********

I was talking to Jordan on the phone and somebody was trying to talk to him in the background. He asked me to please hold on and then told the person, "Excuse me, I am on the phone." He then got back on the line and said to me, "I'm very sorry about that."

**********

The other day I was laying on the living room floor and Jordan was flitting about, being a kid. All of a sudden he stops, points at my face and says, "You have a big zit, right.... there."

Thanks for the news flash.

**********

"Jingle bells, Batman stinks, Robin laid an egg..."

**********

Jordan was playing with the dogs where I was house sitting. One of them turned around so its back end was aimed at Jordan. He exclaimed, "Hey, I don't wanna see your tissue!" (Tushy)

**********

Jordan's grandparents have a friend named Steve White. Every time he comes over we hear, "Hey, it's White Steve!"

**********

(Doing a magic show) "Now look here, I've got some tricks under my sleeve!"

**********

(Same magic show) "Pokus pokus, alakazam!"

**********

(Singing) "So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehenlindoolin..."

**********

Jordan's two cousins are named Noah and Cole.

Steve had been talking about looking for a suit for Jordan at Kohl's. Jordan was inquiring about "bowling in our fancy clothes" and asked Steve when he was going to Noah's to look for a suit.

**********

(Performing a circus show)

"Daddy, I saw your future! You're gonna be a hobo!"

Jordan antics

A few nights ago there was a knock at the door at Steve's house and Penny answered it. Outside were a pair of Jehovah's Witnesses and they started trying to sell Penny on their view of things. She kindly told them that the family already has their faith and ended the conversation. They asked her if there was anything they could do for the family. She politely declined and was about to close the door when Jordan came running down the hall.

"Yeah, can you get me a Happy Meal??!"

Anagram ID

I found this website in Family Fun and tried it out for fun. Type in your name and get your own anagram ID name!

My favorite for my own full name is "A Charisma Twinkled Hi." Then I tried it again with just my first and last name and got another 66667 results. I liked "Maniac Width Silk" and "Salami Thick Wind."

Apparently my name spells a LOT of things.

A dose of hilarity

I found a new blog today. I love new blogs. This woman lives in Idaho and is absolutely hilarious.

Check out her most recent hysterical post here.

Just for laughs

That kid never ceases to crack me up.

A few of his more hilarious comments recently:

Jordan: "I wonder what heaven looks like..."
Steve: "I bet it's amazingly beautiful."
Jordan: *pauses* "I hope they have a McDonald's up there."

Jordan was throwing a temper tantrum and Steve told him to stop crying. Jordan wailed, "This is about my feelings and I need to get them out!"

He and I were watching cartoons and he goes, "Ooh, knarly..." I said, "Where did you learn that word?" He replied, "Oh, I just found it under my tongue!"

And, just for kicks, I was reading back over some old stuff recently and this really made me chuckle.
