For my 250th post...

WOW! I cannot believe I've posted 250 times since the beginning of this blog (which was only a year and a half ago!).

As you can plainly see, I changed the layout again. I was getting really frustrated with the fact that all the pictures I posted were transparent and made it really hard to see the actual picture because there was always a BOAT behind it! But mostly I just started to really dislike that layout and there is something about this one that I LOVE.

I've pretty much gotten nowhere with the apartment hunting. Which is about 80% due to the fact that I haven't tried very hard and about 20% due to the fact that there really isn't anything available right now. I have really enjoyed the last 3 weeks and being able to just BE for once. I actually bought a much needed pair of shoes for work without stressing about being able to eat the next week. It's been really nice to be able to save a good portion of my paycheck every month though.

I did look at one place that was AMAZING. It was a 2-bedroom mother-in-law unit attached to a gigantic house on a huge dairy farm. The place was fully furnished and was incredible. And DIRT CHEAP. But it was also in the middle of nowhere, BEYOND the outskirts of nowhere, and there is no way I could afford the gas to make that drive twice a day. Plus it would take me 45 minutes each way to be able to see Steve and Jordan and I can't do that. And when I say dirt cheap I mean for the place, not for my checkbook. =) It was still above my price range, but I loved it all the same. I knew the answer was no by the time I'd driven halfway there, but it was still fun to look at.

I'm pretty convinced that the decent/affordable places are all being lived in right now and will open up when college lets out. Which means staying here another month or so, but that's okay. More time to save money! I've started doing more babysitting, too, which has helped here and there. I'm trying to get some pet sitting/house sitting/house cleaning jobs as well, but my postings on public notices at work aren't turning up much.

It seems like I had about 27 other things to post about but of course it's the end of the day and my brain is fried. But hey, at least I POSTED! =) It's been too long.
