A mid-week break

Jordan is sick.

Again.

This is his second ear infection in six weeks. He's had a cough for over a month, though THANKFULLY that is finally getting better. He is on antibiotics, two different steroids and an inhaler.

I stayed home from work with him today because Steve made the (treacherous) trip to Bend today to visit his mom, who is in a hospital there. He said there is no way he's making that drive twice in one day so he'll be staying the night in Bend and I'll be on Mom Duty.

I found that one little bonus of staying at home with a sick kid is that HOLY COW, my house is CLEAN!

I got up at about 9:00 this morning and jumped right in the shower. I folded four loads of laundry, vacuumed the house, cleaned the hedgehog cage, trimmed her nails, made beds, washed dishes, swept floors, cleaned the bathroom, mopped the bathroom floor and ceiling (mold) and wiped the bathroom counters down with vinegar to try to get rid of the DANG SUGAR ANTS!

Tonight we're having "Mommy/Jordan date night" and we'll eat popcorn and watch Survivor and then put a movie on in the bedroom. It'll be great.

Tomorrow Jordan has an appointment with an ENT to look at his ears again. This is the 5th (or so) ear infection that he's had in the last year and a half and it's getting ridiculous. They get so bad so fast because he has a crazy high pain tolerance, so he never tells us his ear hurts, just that he can't hear. But by that point he has a raging double infection. So I'm hoping the ENT has some answers for us.

And now, off to give medicine and eat dinner and start bath time!
